These are support parts of 1st heading, called "Sliding 1st Punch
Holder".
1st heading is also called "Upsetting", "Cone oreation",
"Bulbing", "First hammer", or "Gathering blow".
Normally about 2 diameters of material(wire) can be headed in one blow
of Non-sliding 1st punch holder.
By using Sliding 1st Punch Holder, larger diameters of material can be
headed in one blow.
